Join us for an interactive digital workshop for school groups with Maryam Master – the playwright of Ratburger – Live on Stage!
Workshop registrations will open on Thursday 8th May, at 11:30am AEST / 11:00am ACST / 9:30am AWST. Capacity is limited, so be sure to book early.
The workshop is free and available to school groups via the online video conferencing program, Zoom.
All you need is a laptop with a working camera & microphone.
Zoe lives with her dad and a stepmother who ignores her, the school bully makes her life a misery, and now, her pet hamster has died! When she befriends a loveable dancing rat named Dapper, things start looking up – but the evil Burt from Burt’s Burgers is cooking up an awful plan…
From the team behind the Australian tours of The 78-Storey Treehouse, Dog Man the Musical, and The Midnight Gang, Ratburger is a hilarious, action-packed and touching play about kindness, bravery, (and of course) burgers.
This new adaptation from award-winning Australian screenwriter, author and playwright Maryam Master was nominated for ‘Best Production for Children’ (2024 Sydney Theatre Awards).
The stage adaptation of David Walliams’ Ratburger is touring nationally in 2025, with school performances being performed in theatres across Australia.
In this interactive workshop, school groups can explore, play and ask questions of Maryam Master, the playwright of the show.
The workshop will include practical exercises to engage your class, and will be delivered straight to your classroom via Zoom.
Participating schools need to have at least read the book Ratburger by David Walliams.
This workshop is for school groups who have either already seen the play, or will be attending an upcoming performance – and is designed to enhance the learning experience of attending the show.
This workshop will be delivered by CDP Theatre Producers, the company behind the production of Ratburger – Live on Stage.
You may have received information about this workshop from your local theatre / arts centre, where Ratburger is being performed.
Please note that, excursion bookings for your school to attend the live performance are managed exclusively by your local theatre / arts centre where the show is being performed.
Registrations to attend this digital workshop are managed separately, by CDP Theatre Producers.
